backyard buck

I took this picture last year in the middle of fall and I thought it was pretty cool to see because i live in town and this buck was just hanging out in our back yard. This is unusual to me so i just wanted to take the picture. I used my moms camera which is alot nicer than mine and i think the picture seemed to turn out ok. I like how good the picture shows the background behind the deer it is a nice area and its cool to have this picture.

reflections

In this weeks thursday blog i am going to talk about reflections of mountains and trees on water. I find it extremely interesting when i see a picture that shows reflection. In the picture below i see the mountain twice if you were to take a quick glimpse it might even confuse your mind and thats what i like about the pictures of reflection. They make you focus on more than just the bright colors and the main point you have to be able to tell what is all in the picture. So this week i am going to keep on looking for pictures with water and reflection until i find one that is my favorite.

Angles of Deer pictures

deermanrocks.blogspot.com
When i see this picture of this Mule buck i look at the way it is centered up in the photograph. I see a few things that might stand out but i has to do with the coloring of the trees. But the main part of this picture is the deer in the center and thats what i notice and what everyone else should notice when they look at it.

In this picture you get a different angle of the animal which provides more of a open aspect of the picture. When i say open i mean you see more outside of the animal that might catch your eye and makes it look more like a picture of the land not just one thing. I enjoy looking at a picture like this more than a picture with there being one main point.

photography

My favorite thing to do in the world is hunt so for me to see pictures of deer and other wild life it makes me excited for the seasons. While looking at pictures of different deer and the way the picture is clear and unique i think to myself how i would like to be able to take  a picture of the animal i am about to shoot. This season i am going to plan on taking a picture of the deer i shoot before i actually take the animal. To some people this might seem odd but i would like to remember how the animal i killed was standing or sitting and if i am able to take a picture of it i will be able to re live it.So this is my plan for the following season and i will try and show everyone on my blog the picture when i get the chance.

rule of thirds

In the rule of thirds you have a picture made into three different vertical and horizontal lines which divide the picture up into boxes. These box show where different objects are in the picture. Most pictures have a center main point and thats what the rule of thirds proves. When you look at pictures there is always that one main thing in the picture and it is usually in the center and thats what catches the eye. In my mind the picture with the main point in the center might seem a little plain but its what most viewers enjoy seeing so thats what many photographers like to do.

waterfalls

In class we look at little streams and small water falls. I found it extremely interesting to see the difference between the water blurred and the water normal. In the pictures Dave has taken you notice different aspects of the land when he has a blurred water picture. The pictures with blurred water seem to look more like a painting than an actual picture to me. I enjoy seeing the regular water pictures as well without the bluer but im a bigger fan of the blurry water because the way it sets the pictures apart from one another. In this class i hope i will be able to take some pictures of running water and be able to make them into a blurred state so i can possibly frame the picture and put it in my house.

Badlands National Park

When looking at pictures of the Badlands you see alot of rocky mountains and not much green. I find it unique to see pictures of the Badlands because there are no colors to catch your eye. In many pictures there are pretty colors that make people enjoy seeing the pictures but the pictures of the Badlands you have brown rock and large clifs, so to make people enjoy these pictures you have to get down and dirty in the hills to take nice angled pictures to show the crazy cliffs and dangerous terain. I am from the area of the Badlands and i see knew and interesting things about it everyday. This is the main reason i blogged about it because i have expereince in these non colorful areas. I think good photographers can make the Badlands alot more better looking than they actually are.
